First Snow

I woke up this morning to our first snow fall. A very light dusting but very cold at only 25 degrees . I also heard the Canadian Geese flying above so I know winter time in Colorado is on its way.

Fall In Colorado

Let's talk about the quintessential Colorado tree. The beautiful aspen. We've named towns, streets, dogs—even our beer—after this glorious tree. In the summer, the aspens provide shade for our state flower, the columbine, and in the fall, Coloradoans rejoice when the aspen’s quaking leaves turn their vibrant shade of gold.

The month of September is the ideal time to witness this gilded spectacle, but you have to time it right—the color is fleering, lasting only about a week in most places. Unfortunately, it's difficult to predict when exactly the leaves will turn in any given location. The best strategy: select your travel dates in advance, but not your destination. Then go wherever the color is.

My favorite time of year.........

Fall is in the air.........we are having nice weather here in Colorado, the fall colors are wonderful and the leaves are starting to fall. Soon we will be having pumpkin pie! This is my favorite time of year.
